I was told by Phinistic last year that the Z6 (regular model) had rockchip nano D yes.

However, I think this Z6 Pro has something different but I have been unable to verify what cpu it has.

They just tell me that it has ESS DAC 9218 chip

Anybody know?

If it has something that would work with rockbox, that would be great, it is only $69.99

NXP has over 1300 individual products with an M7 core.

They vary wildly in specifications -- For example, I've seen between 120MHz and 1GHz clocks and 128K to 8MB of on-chip SRAM. Some support external PSRAM, some support external SDRAM, most support neither.  Most are single core, but they have many multi-core offerings too.

The bottom line is that without a reasonably detailed photo of the Z6 Pro's PCB, we won't know exactly what was SoC used and what additional components (ie other than the main SoC) are present.

If that advertising copy is accurate and the "La Luna Z6 Pro" (and the Phinistec Z6 Pro) has an NXP LPC4357 dual-core SoC -- One Cortex M4F, one Cortex M0+, both running at up to 204MHz, 512MB of onboard flash, and a whopping *136KB* of SRAM.  It does support external memory, which seems likely to be utilized given the purported feature set.

...That SoC is plenty fast enough to run Rockbox, though the different CPU cores will be challenging to properly support.

(Also, that SoC does _not_ support SuperSpeed USB3.0, despite what is advertised on aliexpress)

That said, there are at least two other "Z6 Pro" models from other brands that look visually identical, but explicitly stating they use a TK0430D DAC and a "dual-core Rockchip" SoC. So.. eh.
