Playback in Rockbox counting in Itunes

I've tried to find the answer to this question, but I haven't found a clear answer.  If you play a song in Rockbox and then sync with Itunes, will Itunes recognize the updated play count?

Rockbox does not interact (or interoperate) with Apple's software in any way.
