Weird clicking noise with iRiver iHP-140 remote
« on: July 22, 2020, 06:36:05 PM »
I recently got an iRiver iHP-140 off eBay. Seems to work fine with my headphones plugged in directly to the unit but using the LCD remote gives me a weird twice-a-second  "clicking noise" that muffles music at low volumes. Is this a known issue with this model? Can I do anything to fix it?

I notice that for example keeping the volume up or down jog dials when the music is paused makes the click sound go faster so it almost seems like it's a sync signal issue.

Any help welcome!
