My Computer does not Recognize my Sansa Clip Zip?

I know I must be a pain in the neck for you people, but you gotta help me out. I got my Sansa clip-zip about 9 years ago, and it was one of the best things in my life. However, a few months ago I tried to upload music in my mp3 player (via copy+paste), and I soon realized that my mp3 player was not showing up in file explorer! I have researched a LOT about this topic. Such as:

* I have tried connecting via the Sansa firmware

* I have tried setting the mode to MCS (and MTP!)

* I have tried restarting both my computer and the mp3 player.

* I have tried changing USB HID mode off.


ANY sort of help would be very useful. My mp3 player means a lot to me.

If the device doesn't connect in the sansa firmware either it is a hardware issue either the player the cable or your pc

try a new cable, try a different pc and finally try wiggling the port slightly up or down and see if it connects

I should have mentioned that my Sansa Clip Zip can charge but I can not access the files. I have tried what you suggested, but no luck. Thanks for the help anyway.
