frozen ipod

hello guys
i have a frozen 1st gen ipod nano.
i did everything to bring it back to life but i couldnt. :'(
now i installed rockbox . i thought that it might help to unfreeze it
rockbox completely installed and boots up but again no response to keys except for resetting.
what can i do to fix it?

So you mean the buttons don't work?  If its the same in both firmwares, it sounds like a hardware fault of some kind.

yes.   it doesn't respond to keys.

do you know what part of the logic board fails when this error happens? i mean can i repair it or i should change the board completely ?

thank you rbhawaii , but i wanted to repair it my self .
one of my relatives gave me this ipod so i don't want to spend money for it ;D
now that i understood that it's not repairable i want to disassemble it to use the parts .
