New to Rockbox...
« on: June 03, 2006, 12:34:22 AM »
So far it's really awesome. Just finished customizing it with my own wallpapers and such. Now for the music.

In the original Apple OS you could find tracks easily. In Rockbox... they are kinda just random... even when viewing the current playlist... they won't come up in Alphabetical order. I just want to be able to sort by Alphabetical order or any other kinda sorting system to be able to find what song I want to listen to instead of shuffling through songs I don't really wanna hear.

 Thanks!

Why would viewing the current playlist show up in alphabetical order? A playlist is shown in the order the music will be playing...

And it's normally sorted alphabetically in the filetree, I believe.

Where exactly is the "random" sorting you're referring to?

I suppose if you want to have your tracks sorted like Apple OS you either need to make the way your music is sorted in a hierachal structure e.g
Artists --> Jimmy Bob Junior --> Jimmmy Bob's Album -->?????.mp3
or use tagcache to make a tag database
