can anyone explain to me if thier are any hazards or problems that could occur if i were to install rock box?

No, I can't think of any hazards unless you decide to flash it. If you just install it the regular way, you can remove it any time you wish, and everything is back to normal.

However, there are no guarantees. You install it at your own risk.
