Video encoding frontend
« on: December 05, 2009, 01:49:52 PM »
Hello everyone
I have just installed my ipod nano 1gen with rockbox and i am impressed.
Whilst playing with the video encoding provided on the site's manual pages.
I have started to create a program that will use Mplayer, VLC and ffmpeg to encode the video.
This is a simple program that will start off the encoding using the above tools.
I will include the FFMPEG tool in with the program that i will create as it is a Open source program, as will mine be.
I was just wanting input as I start the programming of the the program

Thanks in advance
Joe

Take a look at WinFF. It's already a front end for ffmpeg, quite powerful, open source, and comes with presets for Rockbox. At the very least it provides a starting point, but may cover what you intended and save you quite a bit of work.
