can 2.3 charging alg. be fooled?
« on: December 03, 2004, 06:31:14 PM »
Another question...

It seems if I have started charging the JBR v1 when it needs a charge and then load the unit by attaching USB and playing mp3s using my PC that it detects a voltage drop and stops charging.  There then seems to be a delay before attempting a charge (even if 15% charge is reached).  This resulted in my player discharging to such a low limit that I had to charge the batteries with an external charger (bats so low that it could not stay powered long enough i.e. 1 min to have rockbox initiate charging).

Is this possible? Or do I have some other problem?

I am running RB v2.3 (flashed).

Sounds like a good theory.

I'm not sure if I know a way around this...
