Possibility of formatting Micro SDHC cards in Sansa e200 series of DAPs.
« on: August 21, 2008, 09:51:27 AM »
I am not a programmer, so I apologise in advance if I am talking garbage.  But given that Rockbox can support up to at least the currently available 8GB Micro SDHC cards, which the native firmware will not.  Would it be possible to provide a formatting facility within Rockbox to allow for easier utilisation of larger capacity cards?

I currently have an e280v1 with 1.02.24e installed and of course Rockbox.  I bought an 8GB Micro SDHC card, but it appears that it came unformatted.  I have ordered a new card reader, my current one is ancient.  But it would appear, at least to me, that an inbuilt formatting utility would be a more elegant and practical solution.

Any thoughts?
