not booting
« on: April 24, 2007, 06:50:16 PM »
recently I was updating the version of rock box in my gigabeat's and after I went for a restart the player will not load past the boot splash screen.  this leaves me in a bind since I am not their by able to get my linux operating system to recognize my gigabeat's, is this fixagle and if so what should I do. ???

Are you plugging the cable in directly (not using the dock)?

I am connecting the gigabeat directly to the usb and not using the dock.

also later i was able to sink to the gigabeat by disconnecting the hard drive, powering the gigabeat up and reconnecting the gigabeat an my Linux system was able to see the gigabeat as a usb drive so I am hoping that I will be able to restore the gigabeat to it's former functioning condition.
