Title: iHP-1xx - SPDIF coax digital input ?
Post by: TaperChuck on February 10, 2007, 06:43:02 PM
I'm wondering if anyone has tried to add an RCA in, SPDIF to their iHP-1xx?

I am certainly grateful for the ability to record via the optical input, but it has proven unreliable at times and is dependent on what shape your optical cable is in. Since there is no real reliable way for most users to check whether their optical cable is cracked, I'm interested in finding out where the solder points on the circuit board are for attaching wires for a coax input.

Any help would be appreciated.

*IF* this were possible, where would you mount the jack?

I guess you could sacrifice the Line OUT for an electrical SPDIF in.

NOTE: I do not know if this is even possible.
