Title: my h120 freezes frequently now
Post by: dr.pheel on January 27, 2007, 06:04:36 AM
hi,

I have had my h120 for almost 1 1/2 years now - using rockbow for a long time with no problems - before christmas I was gone for 6 weeks not using my iriver - after that a few weeks ago I loaded a new build to the player - now it has frozen significantly often during the past week - in various situations (seemingly mostly though when working the harddisk)
once there was a sign saying something about sata drive and error (sorry I don't remember the exact words - was a rockbox notice though, i guess)

so now I was wondering were there any known problems with builds in the near past, or does it mean my harddisk is about to break down?

I still have warrenty, does anyone know if they are still as good at iriver treating warrenty issues (is there any problem relating the use of rockbox - can they find out I had been using it after I uninstall rockbox?)

I will be updating rockbox now, but still I am thankful for any advice!

thanks phil

Try clearing your settings. (Hold REC while booting)
That might solve it.

hi,

I tried resetting - guess that didn't help... just in the middle of playing a song, with no buttons pressed...
I am beginning to think it might have something to do with low battery...
I have the feeling my battery is getting worse and worse - of course I'm not sure how much it uses during usb mode (as I use it a lot as a removable storage as well)

so the question now is - does anyone know how iriver handles battery issues - when is it officially bad? how can I tell?
again - what about the warrety thing, I've still got 5 months to go.

thank you, phil
