Title: Tryin to patch somthin to no avail.
Post by: donjworks on January 24, 2007, 09:35:12 PM
Helllo,

This is buggin me.

I got my hopes up because I saw this rockboy for nano patch... however, I have no idea WHAT to patch, or how to go about patching.
Heres what I did.

I downloaded the iPod Video rockboy viewer, stuck that on my nano, and tried to patch it, using this guide:

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToCompiling

Didnt work... Command prompt didnt recognize the 'Patch' command the compiler told me to use.

I tried just loading my nano with the iPod Video rockboy viewer, but when i tried playing a game, it said i had the wrong model...

Help?

Patches are meant for developers only and this means you need a development environment set up to compile your own Rockbox build. Take a look at the "What You Will Need" section of the page you just linked if you're still interested.
