Title: Big problem with audio player
Post by: Nithorium on January 24, 2007, 07:39:28 PM
I have a 30g video ipod and i followed the instructions fine to get rockbox to work. Well i have the rockbox bootloader if that means anything. But when i start up rockbox on my ipod when the rockbox audio player thing pops up it will close really quick then bring me to the menu with calendars, contacts, notes, and the rockbox audio link.  Then when i go to rockbox audio player on the menu it pops up for like 2 secs then brings me right back to the menu. I have read the instructions a few times and i did everything right i think. I have the january 22 build so maybe i need the newer one? Any suggestions?

What thing with notes and all that on it? What "it" pops up for like 2 seconds?

Could you use more nouns and less pronouns so that I have some clue what you're talking about?

That is not the Rockbox audio player link. You're seeing the filetree. That is the rockbox.ipod file. You don't need to click on it. You are IN Rockbox already. See the portion of the manual on Database for help finding the music iTunes has hidden on your iPod.

The manual should've explained that you boot into the filetree, NOT a menu, and that you don't need to click on any "music player" to play music, just click on your songs.
