I have upgraded recently rockbox for my MA9 (not MA9c) and I did clean update - replaced entire .rockbox on sd card with newest build.
There are two problems, first, panic type is that mp3 formats get totally scrambled and rockbox cannot play them correctly.
Second is the screen that uses "colorful" themes (including default cabbie v2) - it is still browsable but entire screen is full of rainbow coloured lines (like color TV noise).
I tried all old available builds :-( and it doesnt work. Can anyone help?
I even did brand new reflashing procedure - clearly the build is very broken for MA9.
One more detail: if you reboot and play first mp3 song - it is fine, but once you play next one - its scrambled (very loud noice, breaks, glitches... like being scrolled with incredible speed). FLAC files for example p[lay just fine, can anyone tell whats goin on? >:(

Regarding the screen, if i change it to center art theme, screen is just fine.
Maybe this will help in debugging.

Just realised this may be not best section for this post....

Is there any particular reason why this required 4 separate posts, two of which being largely identical?
Are you able to give us a a last known working version please?
That would be of no small significance.
And, are you able to tell us what version you're running on the device presently? Just saying 'newest build' is largely useless I'm afraid, as it can often change several times per day.

Sorry for spamming with posts.
My last working version is: f04d3c5-131125
I tried all other existing versions (revisions from old list) and all have same problem.
It may be helpful that screen in themes that have low colors (or monochrome) look fine (like center art).
Also, my working version works very laggy with flac files while the new versions (with screen and mp3 bugs) work very fast with flacs.
I could live using the monochrome themes, but mp3 playing are totally corrupted (very loud scrambled signal).
Exactly: if you reboot player and play first mp3 song - it plays fine (it takes 5-6 seconds to start a song, but it will play it). After that if you try to play next song, it takes long time to start, and then its better to take earphones off if higher volumes levels are set (first time i got almost deaf). It also looks like it goes "faster" over a song in chunks... hard to describe. I checked if maybe somehow playing speed changed but in config nothing is changed.
I would love to help fixing it but I am deep into java/js at the moment and last time i was doing C++ was few nice years ago (project looks quite big). Btw. the new version, apart from bugs, plays now flac files very smoothly (and maybe its just impression but i can hear more details...).
If you need more details just lemme know.

How to reproduce:
- Play directory with flac files.
Start clicking "next" song, after 5th song it will hang, give white screen with message "Dividing by zero".
Tested on MA9 player.
Any fix possible for it?
Tested yesterday evening.

I've made a build based on g1056 (http://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/#/c/1056/): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1nI4rgGNPbtQjVvV1pSYW9Rcmc/view?usp=sharing
Please try it and let us know if this works for you or not.

Wow, seems all nice!
I will keep testing it - seems like new release candidate.
The flac bug seems to be fixed (divided by null I submited yesterday).
Mp3 plays good now :-)
I was wondering - the MA9C (which I dont have) is faster than MA9? Is it only video chip difference?
Please give me your email - I will be happy to buy you few beers! :-)

Btw. The biggest problem was not the screen (the themes having less colors are fine). The mp3 playback was the critical bug.
Just saying :)
