Hey everyone,
I have Rockbox installed on my iPod Video 5.5gen and I love it, but I was just curious as to whether or not it is possible to use Ford Sync while utilizing the Rockbox firmware.
I found a thread from 2008 regarding the topic, however it was incompatible at the time but made it sound like it may be compatible some day. I tried it and found that a "no USB device" error was given, but I wasn't sure if maybe there was some setting or update that would enable Sync use.
So far I tried both plugging it in so that the device goes into disk mode, and while holding "menu" to try and manually play songs, but both gave me "no USB device" errors and the latter gave me some error on the iPod about not having the correct playlist permissions or something.
Thanks for any help!

In USB mode the player just mounts as an MSC device. If your stereo supports MSC, it'll mount like a thumb drive. If it doesn't, nothing will happen.
