Such a weird problem.
When I plug in the Sansa Clip plus onto my Linux computer, I don't see a zip file. The zip file is on the Sansa Clip. I can see it when I look through the File browser.
I wonder if this has something to do with MTP/MSC or formatting (on Linux/Windows/Mac). I don't know which format the Clip nor the MicroSD card is in.
Please help.

That would be my guess. Rockbox only supports FAT files systems, so most likely both your player and microSD card are FAT32. This shouldn't cause any problems for any modern OS.

what's the connection between mtp, msc and fat32? And how can i check whether my rockbox and MicroSd card are fat32.
Oh, I realized that the files I added to the SDcard or Clip when on a Windows computer don't show up on a Linux comp.

MSC is what you want to use, MTP is what you don't want to use.
I think formatting a Clip as anything but FAT breaks it, so if you can turn it on its probably FAT.

i still don't know why my linux comp can't see the files/folders on rockbox/microsd card that i added from a Windows comp.
-
The windows computer probably added them in MTP mode, which results in them being hidden in MSC mode which is what the linux computer's likely using.
Set it to always use MSC and you're less likely to encounter this sort of problem. MTP and MSC are different ways of "talking" to the MP3 player, where FAT32 is how the files are actually stored on it.
Also, please type out the whole word "computer." Shortening words arbitrarily can cause problems for people who have to view this site through translation software, so when you can try to use 'real' words.

llorean, I had the full "computer" word in the title, but it wouldn't fit with the rest of the lengthy title.
If I set my clip+ to MTP, will it work on a Windows computer?
-
I'm not talking about the title. You also repeatedly used the term "comp" throughout the most recent post I was responding to, for example.
As Saratoga said, you should be using it in MSC mode.
-
so will MSC work on both Linux and WindowsXP?
-
Yes
