Title: Sansa Fuze v.s. Sansa E280
Post by: sandyd on September 11, 2010, 06:30:03 PM
Im currently planning to get either the sansa fuze (http://factorydirect.ca/catalog/product_spec.php?pcode=SA1440) or the sansa e280 (http://factorydirect.ca/catalog/product_spec.php?pcode=SA0280) . I know the fuze works (its v1 I believe), but I can only find tutorials for sansa e200, not the e280.

The sansa e280 obviously has more space, but if I can't install rockbox on it, I wouldn't bother.

Edit:

The e280 is an 8GB e200.  Hence the "e200 series (all models)" on the front page.

This isn't exactly a rockbox question, but does anone know where I can find out wether these MP3 players will work well with my headphones Sony MDR-XD200 ?. I used to have the sandisk connect, and the player struggled, even when at top volume to produce sound in my headphones.

The e280 has moderate output.  I find it quite listenable, but output can be a bit low on high impedance phones.  You can always get a headphone amplifier if you find the output too low.
