Player: Sansa e250
RockBox version: 3.3
So far only tested (or experienced) on Fedora 11 x86_64. Other USB devices automount without a glitch (tried with a 4GB USB flash memory stick, and G1 phone).
Once the player is connected a USB male plug logo appears on the player screen. Running 'lsusb' shows that it is connected:
# lsusb | grep Sansa
Bus 001 Device 024: ID 0781:7421 SanDisk Corp. Sansa E200 series
However, 'fdisk -l' doesn't show it, and the device doesn't automount. Manual mount not possible either, since the system doesn't assign a device node to it.

I know there is an ubuntu bug with these exact symptoms, [url]http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=22086.msg152509#msg152509/url] but I do not know if it applies to Fedora. This explanation is all I can think of off the top of my head.

Thanks for the link, however this may not apply to Fedora at all. I found no references to Sansa in those files and the symptoms are too weird.
I tested it with Windows Vista 32bit - didn't mount, Mac OSX - didn't mount, Fedora 11 x86_64 (on my laptop, different from my workstation) it only mounted partially, didn't recognize the add-on minisd card.
There's also another difference I noticed since the upgrade. Once connected to a computer, it will boot into RockBox and then after several seconds, it switches to the original Sansa interface. It's never done that before. And even that isn't constant, since sometimes it'll only show the USB plug in RockBox and other times it switches to Sansa interface.

Ok, at least we know its not an OS bug.

Are you sure this is with 3.3? Can you check in System->Rockbox info?

Hm.. this sounds a lot like the stuff that happens to me. I'm using 3.2 version.
But it happens only when the micro sd is inserted into sansa while connecting.
After it gets connected you can insert the card and everything will be ok.

You must make sure the Sansa isn't in MTP mode, and you must start the player and let it boot into Rockbox before you plug it in. I would move to the current build and not use any folder named Music.
BTW, it must be a v1 player.
