Title: Sandisk e200 not loading and auto closing down
Post by: tindrum on April 21, 2009, 10:31:49 AM
I loaded Rockbox onto my Sandisk e200 and it was working fine until yesterday.

I turned it on and got the following message on the screen:-

Rockbox boot loader
Version: 5.0
Sandisk sansa e200
Partition 0: 0x0B 3814 MB
Partition 1: 0x84B 20MB
Loading original firmware…
Trying firmware partition
BL mi4 size: 12400
Can't load from partition
Invalid file format
Trying /system/OF.mi4
Can't load /system/OF.mi4
File not found
Trying / system/OF.bin
File not found

The message appears for about 5 seconds and then the e200 turns itself off. No matter how many times I have tried the same error message appears before it turns off. I have tried removing the battery but that has not helped.

When I plug the e200 to my PC via the USB cable the PC does not register that it's even connected so I am not even able to try and remove / reinstall Rockbox.

I have done some searches on the forums for problems resolution (bootloader & OF.mi4) but I have not been able to find anything that match this one.

Please help me as my e200 is useless at the moment.

Many thanks
