Title: Idle Shutdown?
Post by: orpheus on April 01, 2009, 08:16:58 PM
I apologize if I'm being a total scrub. I just recently Rockbox'd my e270 and it worked great for a day but just a few hours ago my mp3 player suddenly just turned off half-way through a song and it wouldn't turn back on or connect to usb. I panicked a bit and googled the problem and I tried the hold record + Power button and it worked.

My questions is: Is that a bug for the Idle Shutdown function, or is there seriously something wrong with my e270?

It seems you have encountered a bug.  If you can figure out how to reliably reproduce it then you should file a bug report.  Does the same file fail in the same place?  There is a sleep timer and this could cause the player to turn off while playing a song, but it should shut down gracefully instead of freezing.

I'm letting my player run atm as I did before and so far nothing has happened. I'll let you know if it does it again, thanks for replying!
