I loaded some Audio books on to an 8Gb SDHC card , they play fine but will not Bookmark, Did I miss a switch or is this function not working yet?
Thanks!
-
How are you playing them? Are you using the database, or from the file view, and are you creating playlists or just playing them in the folder?
-
Just playing them. Thaks!
-
What SVN revision are you using, what format are the files, how are you bookmarking them, and what happens when you try to bookmark them?
-
If SVN is Sansa Version Number, I'm not sure. I'm blind and can't read the Sansa screen but 10224 seems to ring a bell. I tried Bookmarking both by sutting down and by tapping the power button. The file is a large (5 hours+) MP3 file that works just fine when internal. Thanks, again!
-
It's certainly not 10224. Do you mean to say it bookmarks successfully when it's not on the MicroSD card? Have you tried manually bookmarking while on the MicroSD card?
-
It bookmarks fine when not on the SDHC card. Not sure how to do a bookmark other than tapping the Power button. What number are you looking for, I'm using yesterdays version of RockBox. Thanks
-
There's an option to create a bookmark in the context menu. And it's the SVN revision. The version number. I'm not sure on which screens it can be voiced, unfortunately. There were many builds of Rockbox yesterday, so the date doesn't really narrow it down.

I found the Content menu option for Bookmarkig and it worked. But, this is on a SDHC card with each book in its Directory. And now the power button an shutdown/resume options are working.
Thanks so much for your time.

I noticed that this problem was reported in FS#9980 and has been fixed in a build on 8Mar09. Thanks Again!
Added: I just tried the newest version of Rockbox and it will now write a bookmark to the root of an SDHC card. I loaded this build with the new Version of Rockbox Utility V1.1 which will also write the Talk files to the SDHC card. My card was in a USB card reader. HTH.
