Post by: phatair on December 14, 2008, 07:07:10 AM
Hello,

Is it possible with the newest original sansa firmware to use 8gb microsdhc cards or is it a must have to use the rockbox firmware?

If i have to use the rocbox firmware - is it possible to use the "standard" skin of the sansa e200? And is there any way to install the rockbox firmware offline?

I dont konw so much about this hole thing so i hope somebody can help me. thank you so much!
best regards

Hi, thanks for your answer.
is there any differents betweent the sansa 8gb and the sansa 4gb? So if it works with your 8gb sansa it should also work with the 4gb version ,right? Because on the sansa homepage is an info that the microsd slot only supports microsd cards up to 2gb

The e200v1 original firmware ONLY supports MicroSD, not MicroSDHC. This means 2gb or less.

Please, if you have questions about the original firmware, ask at Sandisk's forums.

Rockbox does not change the original firmware's behaviour.
