Title: Best/most available rockboxable player?

Well, someone "borrowed" my iPod, so I'm in the market for a new rockboxable player.

I need at least 8GiB of space, but I don't mind hacking the thing open to replace the drive.

My main concerns are battery life (which sucked on the 4G iPod) and availability.

*D'oh*.  Thanks, sorry I missed it.

Too bad about that "In Production" column.  :(  I'm not interested in coding the stuff myself, I'm afraid, but I'll throw money at people who are if someone's close.

I'd think the more obvious solution is to buy second-hand.  ;)
