Title: Sansa e260 No USB
Post by: Arnman on September 21, 2008, 03:19:03 PM
Ok, so I've run into a problem with my sansa. I can run rockbox, but when I try to connect through usb to add files it does that "Refreshing database" thing then it reboots, and continues to do this. I've run into a problem like this before I installed rockbox and it was resolved when I reinstalled the firmware. Now when I try to reinstall the original sansa firmware it gives me a "ERROR, not compatible with device" thing

Here is what it looks like when I connect the usb:

Hopefully one of you guys can help me because I've tried everything I can think of. :)

You need to set the Sansa firmware to UMS or MSC (I can't remember which one it says) - either way, not MTP.

How are you trying to reinstall the original firmware?

I'm putting it in recovery mode and running the sansa firmware updater
