Post by: Grunter on September 01, 2008, 02:27:11 PM
After being trapped in the ER for hrs, I defenetly am very thankful for the rockbox team!
I was wondering if maybe a mahjong game? Unless it exists
Thanks so much for all your time

Out of all the ideas I've heard, this is one of the best yet! I'd do it myself if I knew how  ;D, but maybe there's a freeware Mahjong game that someone could translate into Rockbox code.

It needs to be GPL, not freeware.  There are a couple of possibilities on this page (http://home.halden.net/vkp/vkp/linux.html).  But I don't know how portable they are.

I had a brief look at the website, interesting. Since I saw some programs that were open-source, then whoever would like to develop the project would be able to edit the source code to work with the Rockbox interface.

That's a requirement, not just a convenience.  Any code that gets modified and merged with Rockbox must be compatible with the license that we release under (GPL).
