www.ipodlinux.org was useful, and not only for Linux related things. The Wiki had useful iPod hardware information. According to the Rockbox wiki, "The Rockbox iPod port uses pieces of the iPodLinux source code and would most likely not exist without it. (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IpodLinux)" I cannot believe that someone would consider discussion about the fate of that very useful website so off-topic that they lock the thread.

There is nothing to be discussed. The site is down. These forums are for Rockbox discussion. If someone asks where to find hardware information that was formerly hosted on their site, that would be on topic here. But general discussion of someone else's website is not. Frankly, the fate of that website really is off-topic here. If it returns (which it very likely will) or if it does not, Rockbox will go on as it has before.

Sorry I did not mean to post off topic of cause trouble here.
Sometimes here in Malaysia we get outages on some web sites and I wanted to know if others elsewhere were experiencing the same and try to find out if this was temp or permanent. I see the suspended.page in the URL but all i get is a blank page so it just seemed odd.
again sorry to post off topic here.

Google cache, archive.org, not to mention the personal copies of pages. When sites disappear, they don't typically *disappear*. This whole point is moot though as the site will be back soon with different hosting.
Can we quit with the whole iPL thing now? ;)
