I'm a newbie with newbie problems. Hope to get help here...
I'm using Rockbox with 1st gen iPod nano. I have my mp3's on my Ubuntu & i've been using rhytmbox moving and deleting songs. Ok, now i have a problem: rhytmbox had a bug that makes it impossible to delete files from iPod -> I wasn't able to delete anything. I used gtkpod and it seemed to succes, but:
- when browsing the db with gtkpod, it seems to be totally empty
- when starting rockbox, the db is still there, nothing has changed. updating the db does not help
- re-installing rockbox doesn't help
- when loading the original apple player, it shows that db is empty
Now my ipod is useless, couse db says it's full. How to "do the total reset"?
Any help please???

So, there are no actual files on it, but Rockbox's database says there are? Is that right?
If that's the case, you ought to just be able to delete all the database_x.tcd (where x is a number or "idx") from the .rockbox folder, and let it rebuild itself.

Initializing the database should also work.

That's correct. I will try deleting .tcd files later.
Thanks for the help!
btw. I tried initializing the db, but it didn't work. I'm afraid the db - or the content or index - is corrupted somehow. Hope for the best...
