Title: Saving Settings Issue
Post by: UMT on April 18, 2008, 09:14:31 PM
New user but love Rockbox.

Problem:  I go to sound settings, enable the EQ, and then Browse the Eq presets, (I prefer the default one so far) and then I go to SAVE EQ PRESET and when I press the 'enter' (center) button (Sansa C250) I get a bunch of computer code.  Pressing the outer ring buttons just moves the cursor around.  Pressing the center (enter) button does nothing.   The only way to get out is to press the menu button and then a 'cancelled' comes up on the screen before returning back to sounds settings.

Any idea of what's happening here and how I can fix it?   I read the manual and it's no help.

Thanks,
UMT

Ok,,, just figured out that when I press the SAVE EQ PRESET I am looking at the virtual keyboard.   What now?  How do I actually save the dam thing?   When I turn the Sansa off and reboot, it reverts back to the old settings.

If someone can point me in the right direction.........

This part of the manual explains how to exit the virtual keyboard and save changes:

I am a TOTAL newbie.  I've read the manual and recognize this section but for the life of me, I still can't find the 'exit virtual keyboard and saving changes'    Would you be so kind to point out the EXACT location/chapter I need to be looking at?

I Thank You So Much!

That link IS the exact location you should be looking at... it shows the controls for the virtual keyboard.
