Title: Rockbox and sound quality

Hi...I just picked up a spare mp3 player (Sansa c250 v1) to play with Rockbox.  Among all the other benefits of Rockbox, is improved sound quality one of them.  Sansa is not known for sound quality and I am wondering if it is generally the case the Rockbox enhances that.

Rockbox can't really fix problems with the hardware sound quality, which is not the greatest on the e200 and c200 series.

You can however tweak it to an extent with the 5 band custom equalizer, but as Llorean said no software will correct hardware problems.  It depends where the bad sound aspect you dislike comes from.
