Title: generic flash question

Does reading from a flash chip impact the chip's lifespan? I know they have limited write-cycles...

Typically a manufacturer specifies a limit on the erase/write cycles of a part, and the read cycle is not specified with a limit. This implies that read cycles have little or no impact.
