Hi sorry for the noob question, but I need help. ;D
My computer wont recognize my 5th generation 30 gig ipod video when its running rockbox, I just installed it. The only way my computer will recognize it is if I switch over to the regular ipod os, which is a pain.
It displays the found new hardware utility but that cant find the right drivers or something.
Anyone know how to help me? :o ???
(Only three smilies per post????omg)

Could be worse, you could have to use their firmware *all* the time. Quoting from the rockbox.org frontpage:
New USB stack with limited capability. Currently it only requests full charging power. Ignore driver popups from Windows.
Basically this means that you need the Apple firmware for file transfers.

You could boot into disk mode, that way you'll still be able to access your iPod's drive + add music through iTunes, without needing to boot into the Apple OS.
