Title: M25 Diagnostic?
Post by: crazychris890 on October 17, 2007, 07:47:10 AM
im walking on the way to school and i turned on my rPod. before i even put the headphones in it made a weird noise like "Blee-Boop" then it started at a blue screen that said test 1-8... then it continued through up to 8 with the ... getting longer. then it said "complete click menu to continue" so i did. then it wanted me to click each button, i did, then i continued. then it wanted to see if i had USB hooked up, which i didnt, so i continued. then i told me to unplug my headphones and plug em back in, it said i passed that, so i continued. then it wanted me to scroll through #'s 1-30, it said my wheel was fine, so i conintued. then it wanted me to plug in accessories and it wanted a firewire connecter which i didnt have. so i menu-selected to reboot and all this was gone. i doubt this was apple since it was normal text like unicode or something. if someone can explain this please do. ~ Chris (PS. ive had rockbox for over a month and im using a 30gb ipod video with ummm evil - g something and it never did this before)

Rockbox doesn't have any diagnostic mode as far as I know. I'm pretty sure it's the apple bootloader.

1)  We don't support unsupported builds

2)  As MadCow says, none of what you are seeing is Rockbox, it is an Apple diagnostic mode.

You were likely holding REW and SELECT, as that is how diagnostic mode is accessed.
