Title: Gigabeat Backlight timing

I installed rockbox on my gigabeat F40.
The screen backlight is on for just a few seconds, making it somewhat hard to deal with at times.
I haven't been able to find a way to adjust it in Rockbox.
1. Is there a setting I am missing?
2. Should I uninstall Rockbox temporarily and adjust the backlight through the default OS? Would that even work, or is there something in Rockbox that would override that anyway?

Settings >  General Settings >  Display > LCD

As I recall.
