The remote i currently have in mind.

I looked around there site alittle to see if they talk about iTune's or anything, but i didnt notice. Didnt really see anything say how the remotes display works.
I have a Denon Doc (http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=32030) which does not work with RockBox (alittle disappointed, but you gotta take the bad with the good, they must have coded off the iTunes Dbase), so i dont want to spend 150 bucks on a remote which will not display RockBox.

It isn't that the accessories use the iTunes Database, it is that they rely on the Apple accessories protocol. Neither a serial driver nor the Apple accessories protocol is curently implemented in rockbox.

Thanks for the link LambdaCalculus379.

Ohh, thanks for the info.

"curently" - did you let the cat out of the bag here ? :)
Is there any legal reason that its not implemented, hence it will never be seen in RockBox or is it just a milestone down the line ? Dont think i seen anything about it on the "ToDo" wiki page (if so, sorry, i forgot).

There is no legal or other reason that it isn't implemented other than no-one has done it. Â Having said that I don't think anyone is currently working on it.
So no matter how badly I spell it ( ;)), currently means only that it isn't impossible and may be done (at some unspecified time) in the future.
There is no real To-do list in rockbox as developers work on what scratchs their itch.
I believe the Apple accessories protocol is well documented on the iPodLinux Wiki, so that is a little of the job done.

This is true, but we lack the knowledge of how to use the serial port on the PortalPlayers for the latter generation ipods - it was only figured out for 1, 2 and 3G ipods I believe.

I thought it was mainly serial port, but wasn't sure.
