Title: Failing to install on Rockbox on Sansa Clip+, after choosing 'clippa.bin'
Post by: tom.tom on April 10, 2022, 04:21:36 PM
After choosing 'clippa.bin' on my desktop, downloaded from the link provided in the manual as the original firmware, Rockbox Utility says, "Failed to write"

The mount was chosen correctly through auto-detect. I am in MSC mode.

Any suggestions?

You're hitting this issue: https://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,54172.new.html#new

I haven't figured why this happens but (at least) can see what's going wrong. In the meantime you can use the older 1.4.1 to install the bootloader. That's the only functionality that's affected by this issue.
