Will test extensively (48KHz should work fine...?) and it may be the case that you saved my lazy DJ-set!
Thanks!! <3 <3 <3

Rockbox General Discussion / Re: AIGO EROS Q / K Native, Grey screen with new build
« Last post by speachy on Today at 09:00:12 AM »I updated to latest bootloader still the same issue
The old build you were running was hardcoded to using a single hardware revision (there are at least five now), whereas the new builds expect the bootloader to pass this information so we can behave correctly.
So, the details matter. Who made your device, what firmware was it shipped with, and what was the _exact_ bootloader you installed?
(Ie instead of saying "the latest" you should say something like "erosqnative-hw3-erosq.upt downloaded from the wiki as of 2025-07-15" and instead of "AIGO EROS Q/K native" you should say something like "Surfans F20 V3.0")

« Last post by speachy on Today at 07:36:58 AM »When i update to the latest build on my AIGO EROS Q / K (Native i get grey screen. But an very old build from 2024-04 something is the only one that works. No other (old build) is working, all the old builds that i can download is from 2025 something. I need older versions to see what after 2024-04 works, but i cant find them. Why do i get grey screen with the newer builds?
Install an up-to-date bootloader.
I also have issue with some tracks not playing and they are being skipped even though they worked before, when i replace the file with the same song it works for a time to later not work again. And some songs makes the whole rockbox stall so i have to restart rockbox. but when i replace those exact songs with the same song it works again. Thats why i want to try newer rockbox builds and see if that fixes the problem
This sounds like a SD card that's corrupted or failing outright. (Assuming this behavior occurs with current builds, anyway)

Audio Playback, Database and Playlists / Re: Crossfading failing on _some_ tracks
« Last post by bahus on Today at 07:20:52 AM »If Settings -> Playback Settings -> Frequency is set to Auto (default value), tracks with different sample rates won’t crossfade. This is a limitation of how automatic frequency switching is implemented. Compare the sample rates of the problematic track pairs - mismatched frequencies might be the reason for your issue.

Audio Playback, Database and Playlists / Crossfading failing on _some_ tracks
« Last post by bubuz0 on Today at 05:56:26 AM »Hello there,
The crossfading function of rockbox is amazing, and i rely on it heavily! <3
I noted that some tracks repeatedly fail at cross-fading though. It's true with "entering" crossfading, and "exiting" crossfading as well.
Made very rough tests:
- when track X seems concerned (because "entering" crossfade fails), ensure that its "exiting" crossfading fails as well.
- then move on to track Y (which "entering" crossfade failed, due to track X), and ensure that it's "exiting" crossfading is working well.
- move on to track X. "entering" crossfading works fine. move on to track Y to ensure that it's "entering" crossfading works as well, so track Y wasn't at fault here.
- go back to track X -> "entering" crossfading fails agan
=> so track X is the culprit somehow...
So far my solution has been to remove entirely those identified tracks from my automated, cross-faded playlists... But i'd like to know:
- is there a way to detect those concerned tracks automatically?
- is there a way to "fix" them so crossfading would start working on them again?
Thanks!

Hardware / Re: HiBy R1
« Last post by 7o9 on Today at 04:01:15 AM »I had a look at the Tempotec Variations V1 dump files that kae0 provided and it looks a lot like the firmware of the Hiby R1, or the generic HiBy x1600 platform.
Unfortunately I cannot explain how this device uses ALSA or why it gives this output in amixer.
I searched for the string 'DOP_EN' from kae0's amixer output and the only places I found a match is module_driver/x1600_tempotec_v1_sound_card.ko and usr/bin/hiby_player. Not in any config files that I could copy or replicate on the R1.

Rockbox General Discussion / Re: Dev builds release notes
« Last post by iPodVT on July 16, 2025, 11:42:46 PM »Sorry if I overlooked something, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are release notes for dev builds.
Something that states what changes have been made to current dev build, for example to let user know if new features have been added, to know what to look for when testing out the dev build.
