Title: Ipod classic 6th Gen install issues
Post by: musicalified on February 02, 2019, 12:47:25 AM
Hello,

First time installing, used the bootloader to do it, went thru the steps fine, disconnected it, and it says 'file not found'.

is there any way to fix this or did I brick my ipod?

Thanks.

You did not brick your iPod.
I'm not familar with the steps to do it but you need to get the firmware onto the device (.rockbox folder)

Which install utility did you use?  The one linked on here or the provisional one for 6th gen from freemyipod?

http://build.rockbox.org/
Click on 6th gen and when you download the files, use the option "Show hidden files/folders" and you should see the .rockbox folder. Copy it over to the iPod and done!
