Great news! Was looking for the iPod Video 60/80GB zip but it seems to be missing though :-[ (manual download and installer)

Hopefully, this will be fixed up shortly.
In the meantime, you could use the standard ipod video build.

I think we should start a new tradition of listing new committers in the release notes. What do you think?

Uploaded on the server, all the download mirrors should have it within one hour.
Although the manual is there already: it's the same manual than for the 30GB model

Sounds like a good idea.

It *should* have already been there - each mirror syncs once an hour and I waited for an hour after release before posting. Still, it looks like it is there now either way :)
Edit: Ah, I see now that it wasn't originally uploaded.

New RockBox user here. I am running on 3.5.1 on an iMod and loving being able to play .flac files.
In order to upgrade to 3.6, do I loose my music library? I have over 100GB and it takes a long time to transfer everything over.
Thanks.

No, you should not lose your music. Just extract the zip file to the root of your player. It will replace the 3.5.1 release files. Your custom settings will be retained.

SWEET! i just read this: # Upgraded/replaced hard disks are now supported on all disk-based players (except Archos). Drives over 137GB and drives with large physical sectors are both supported.
This is awesome news. now I dont have to build my own rockbox when i plan on upgrading my mp3 players.

Yup, that's why it was done; we'd rather most people were happy with our builds than feel they need to build their own. :)

Hello. I haven't been keeping up with Rockbox for a long time. Just to confirm, this release will work on all the older iPods like the 4th Gen Ipod Photo, etc correct?
-
Yes, see the front page. Older targets are still maintained.
-
Thanks Torne :)

great job guys! I must admit that battery life on 3.6 is about 10% better than on 3.5.1 (sansa fuze v1)
-
Have updated on an Iriver H10, everything sweet, noticed that it fixes the battery life report in system/Rockbox Info.
Was previously showing 160 hrs life left,
now shows the more likely 5hrs or so.
Thanks.

I'm really looking forward a new version of Rockbox where it will be stable under the Fuze V2 (I guess that V02.02.26A is V2)
-
Just to know...
Is there someone knowing if a new stable release is plane? If there is a roadmap or a list of blocking bugs?
Thanks for all the stuff you do!!!
-
I think we just haven't gotten around to packaging up a new release.
-
isnt it every 3 months?
-
No. It's was about every 3 months for a while, but 3.5 was over 4 months after 3.4, and 3.6 was exactly 4 months after 3.5.
That's just looking at the past though to get an idea. I don't think there is any actual release schedule.
-
Well there sort of is, we're just crap at sticking to it :)
