Title: Shortcut to power off iPod?
Post by: iPodVT on December 08, 2021, 10:38:55 AM
I see in the Rockbox Manual for iPod Video (page 50) that it's possible to set a shortcut to turn the player off, but I haven't been able to find any documentation as to how to specify that action in the shortcuts.txt file.  Does anyone here know what to use for the type, data, and name fields for this?

Thanks.

Take a look at page 51... should be “type: shutdown”, data doesn’t matter and name can be freely chosen. Hope this helps :)

Thanks very much.

I'm a dummy - I went back to look again and there it was on page 51 - the very next page.  Then when I logged back into this forum to report my own find I saw your kind and helpful pointer.  Again, thanks.
