https://i.redd.it/azmo5wcv9szb1.jpg
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F-X9DwOX0AAzG_q?format=jpg&name=large
Both appear to be Hirose branded but the part numbers differ (7F?5 and 1635?) and I can't make them out.
EDIT:
I found the part number on Reddit here and its a FH26W-35S-0.3SHW(60). When I last searched for this years ago I couldn't find the part number but this Reddit post was in the last month!
Hopefully this can help someone else.

I have an iPod 6g where the brown ZIF latch is damaged (missing) on the motherboard. Does anyone know the part name/number to replace it?
Desoldering the latch and fitting a new one with flux and hot air is probably slightly outside of my skill ability however if I could ID the replacement part I might be able to get some quotes from an electronics shop before trying it myself.

Apple - Installation/Removal / Re: iPod Classic - no file system mount point
« Last post by akomives on December 08, 2024, 09:01:25 AM »Hej,
I have tried this utility, as well. Doesn't recognize the iPod. Have tried DFU mode, as well.
I just wonder: if I would remove the hard drive and replace it with a solid-state memory board, such as https://www.iflash.xyz/store/iflash-solo/ would I get a fresh start?
There wouldn't be any sort of Apple filesystem on that one, since it uses a 3rd party SD-card as memory.
My theory is that if I would use a solid state drive it would be possible to restore it in iTunes, since there is no previous filesystem (being corrupted) hindering the process.
The iPod itself is in pristine condition, I have always kept it in a protective cover. So no scrathes on the surface, the dial is working well, no screen scratch either. It would only need a fresh battery and a solid state drive update. And of course RockBox FW....

« Last post by Bilgus on December 07, 2024, 09:10:41 PM »yeah sorry we are sort of looking at the rest of rockbox
https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/DataBase.html#tagnavi.config_v2.0_Syntax for instance
and I think this will prevent issues with multivolume devices and hosted builds
also the playlist thing its still limited to that one directory it doesn't have free reign to go thru the user files

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by that.
the other issue I have is allowing themes to access user data isn't the way the rest of the stuff works
When the user chooses "Reset Playlist Catalog Directory", Rockbox creates "/Playlists" (in the root directory), clears the "playlist catalog directory" config setting, and then when a theme calls %St(playlist catalog directory) Rockbox returns the name of the Playlist Catalog Directory that it created in the root directory. Isn't that Rockbox specifically and intentionally defaulting to having themes access user data in the root directory?
[Edit]
what if we looked in the root at boot and if exists its copied into .rockbox
It's not a good idea (IMHO) to auto-relocate user data from the most visible possible location to a different and hidden location.
I don't mean to be obstinate, but I feel very strongly about this and therefore duty-bound to express my opinions [edit] and make my case. But you can be sure that if you go ahead with your

« Last post by Bilgus on December 07, 2024, 06:55:26 PM »These patches got moved around a bit today
[Feature] Skin engine Themes grab text from a file %ft(file, line) is now g#6154
and built on top:
[Feature] skinengine subline timeout hide line for n seconds
https://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/c/rockbox/+/6153
which adds a optional timeout to alternating sublines
Sorry for any confusion!
