Title: Archos Recorder 20: broken DC input -- who is the repair guy?
Post by: basslover on May 03, 2007, 06:29:17 PM
Hello,

I haven't been on the board in a while.  I recall there was someone who you could send a broken Archos Recorder 20 to and he'd fix it.

My DC power input is broken.

Is that fellow still around?

If so, could someone please tell me how to contact him?

Thanks!!!!

Jerry

I have had a such pb with mine, a power input broken from an reverse polarity alim plugged.

I simply replace de DC converter IC (34063, U15), and all goes back right.
Not very difficult to do.

Well, what exactly is the problem?  Does it not charge, or is the jack itself broken?  Either way, I could likely do it.

Hello,  since the posting i got that fixed, but now the line in only works in one channel.  i troubleshooted with different cables and on different devices, and the r20 definitely now has a bad line in.  can you fix the line in?
