Rockbox Utility / Re: Sansa Clip+ "Configuration is Invalid", "No Mount Point Given"

Got it So glad there's active devs on here. I appreciate all the help and am super excited to try out my mp3. Thank you all so much for everything!

I completed the install successfully but just thought I'd quickly ask - with Rockbox I can use a microsdxc card on my device, correct? Is there a limit to the size?

Rockbox General Discussion / Re: Donation - just not via PayPal
« Last post by speachy on Today at 04:40:41 PM »First of all I would like to thank all developers and active forum participants for their commitment.
I would like to support the project with a donation, but not via PayPal.
Are there other options?
I think the only other mechanism we're in a position to use is Zelle, which requires the sender to have a US bank account.

Rockbox Utility / Sansa Clip+ "Configuration is Invalid", "No Mount Point Given"
« Last post by papayaa on Today at 08:05:26 AM »Hi! Before I begin, I just want to preface this by saying I'm a bit of a tech novice. I'm using Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC and whenever I run "Rockbox Utility v1.5.1" I'm immediately greeted with a configuration error, stating "Your configuration is invalid. This is most likely due to a changed device path. The configuration dialog will now open to allow you to correct the problem", and when I proceed to the next screen I'm not able to select the drop down for selecting my device and when I select my audio player and select "Ok" I'm then given a "No mountpoint given" error . I do run some programs ("O&O Shutup10" and "Windows Privacy Dashboard")that disable and remove some telemetry on my OS but I double-checked and played around with any possible setting that I thought could interfere and was still having problems.
Any ideas what's going on or how I can fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hardware / Re: Issues with installing iPod mini v2 2005 128gb
« Last post by bluebrother on Today at 03:49:28 AM »I installed the Mac version of the auto detector and installer, and I read the manual. It looks like I shouldn't be having an issue because I am able to convert the iPod into a fat32 with disk utility on my old iMac.
That doesn't work. It's not just the format of the data partition, the partition tables are different between a "Mac" and "PC" formatted Ipod. Restore using Itunes on Windows, or manually restore as described in the wiki: https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/IpodConversionToFAT32.html
Quote
Maybe the issue stems from the fact that my iPod mini is not synced with a windows machine, but then I don't understand why this Mac installer exists.
Because there are two things. Itunes on Mac can work just fine with a "PC" formatted Ipod. However, restoring on Mac will always restore to "Mac" format. Once the Ipod is in the correct format installing Rockbox works just fine on Mac. That's why there is an installer. It has nothing to do with "synching".

it says- there is an update for the installer available on the site-, but the link for the most updated version only downloads the version that says a newer version is available, I don't see why this should be an issue.
That's a bug with the binary. Ignore it.

I've made the iPod a fat 32 with disk utility
This does NOT work. See above.
Quote
the rockbox installer doesn't run a clean install, it says- the mount point is unknown or invalid.
That's because (a) at that point you didn't select a mountpoint (since auto detection couldn't.) At that point it cannot continue and did NOT make any changes to the Ipod.

Rockbox Utility / Re: iPod 5th Gen "No Partition" / In a Boot Loop?
« Last post by bluebrother on Today at 03:36:54 AM »Do not use 3.15 on a modded Ipod. Use the latest build.
Also, what Ipod do you have? There's no 5th gen classic -- classic is 6th gen and later. If it's a 5th gen you can force disk mode by resetting it first by holding menu + select, then immediately play + select to force disk mode.
