after a restart, i would like to quick jump to the last folder having played - is that possible?
-
no, we dont track the last folder across reboots.
-
do you think this would be hard task to add?
-
yeah, its pretty easy to add but not something that is likely to be accepted.
-
oh really, why?

I vaguely remember filling a bug/complaining about this many years (read 5 or more) ago. I can't remember what the objection was.

You can achieve something similar using the "follow playlist" option. That doesn't work if you don't have a (dynamic) playlist on startup though, i.e. if your dynamic playlist ended before shutdown it won't work. Apart from that you just need to start playback and you're good to go -- I use that frequently.

I think the problem was the settings format -- back then we had the settings stored in a binary blob instead of a text file.

Hi there,
I am looking for something a bit similar. I am really use to use my clip+ in my car. It stays plugged in. It would like it to start and auto resume on power. The original firmawre was doing that.

Look at Car Adaptor mode in the Manual. http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansaclipplus/rockbox-buildch8.html#x11-1410008.5.4

Thanks, I had passed the options a couple of time and I missed. That is perfect especially with the auto-off.
