Title: [320x240x24] Xhibition theme for the iPod Video

2 years ago I released a theme called redux for the iPod video.  I left for awhile, but I am back again and I have spent the last month working on a new theme.  I wanted to create something very polished and simplistic and treat it as a display and less like a fake touch screen. I managed to get full screen, 320px width artwork working after a bunch of fiddling and db volume has been converted to more normal output number.

Just so you know, it is not totally dead. Thanks for the theme, i converted it for my sansa e200 because i liked the looks of it. Thanks again :)

Hello jdotfite,

I tried your Theme and I like it a lot. I have no problems with my 500x500px album art. Looks good. I like the volume bar only be shown when changing the volume. But I'd like to have the volume numbers on top shown as rockbox does by default. I don't like the volume being shown from 0 to 74(?). With long files (more than 1 hour of playtime), the time left on the right side of the screen doesn't fit. I hope I explained it right. How can I change these things?

It took me some time, but I finally made the changes I wanted. I am happy now.

Hey, mind doing me a solid and sending it to me? I plan to use this theme when I install rockbox after replacing my battery and if you fixed the issues you described, I'd love to have the edited version. It would be greatly appreciated!

I hope I did this in a clean way and maybe someone can do this better, but see the attachment for the result.

Replace the "xhibition.sbs" and "xhibition.wps" with the files below.

Nice. I didn't think to test hour long track times. The viewports were probably a bit too small and cutting off the time.  I wonder if I can submit updated files and officially update the theme?

The volume goes from 0-100 (not 74) and then max when it hits the DB + range.  I have always wished rockbox displayed a more "normal" volume number like most players.  Curious why people like the db output numbers?  Maybe I am missing something.

Ya, any album art over 320x320 will display nicely, I was just commenting that resizing down to 320x320 in photoshop, for example, will yield a better quality image on your iPod and give you smaller files and faster load time.  I am probably being picky, but if you compare two images of the same at 500x500 vs resized in PS to 320x320 and loaded in rockbox, there is a difference in sharpness.

If anyone else finds any other issues, please let me know and I will add them to the update.

How can I change the volume bar color? I'd love to change the orange and experiment with other colors.

For me it's just a matter of habit  ;D

If you update the skin, could you please make the viewports bigger in a cleaner way than I did? Because what I did was just trial and error and I probably couldn't set the positions and size of the viewport to the best values.

Hey all, hope you are doing ok.

I love this theme, but wish I could see the full album art, is it possible to simply tweak it so displays the full album art in the center? Every other theme with big album art is filled with UI elements which I don't care for.
