Title: iPod Classic 3G USB stopped working after Rockbox installation
Post by: daro7557 on May 22, 2018, 11:23:49 AM
My iPod Classic 3G 30GB was working great until today. I decided to install Rockbox for the first time. I used Rockbox utility and installed stable release. Installation was successful. Now i am running rockbox on my iPod, but USB connection is no more working. iPod show in device manager as Unknown USB device with invalid descriptor (error 43). The worst thing is that iTunes isn't recognizing iPod at all, so i can't do recovery. I tried reinstalling all drivers, iTunes, resetting, changing cables with no effect. I tried to connect iPod on three different computers(Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit), but iPod is not recognized correctly on any of them. Could somebody help me?

EDIT: I found half-solution. USB still no works, but i found old PCI card with FireWire. I connected iPod with charger(FireWire) cable and now iPod is recognized correctly.
