Hi,
would some of you think it a useful feature to have a progress bar in the Current Playlist view?
I'd like it pretty much when doing a little djing at a party or similar.
Or, when i think of it, could i write a wps that displays just a statusbar, the progressbar and, say, the next 5 songs or whatever number fits on the screen with the used font?

Do you mean progress through the playlist (not possible as a bar, but WPS can show current playlist position and total playlist songs) or progress through the song which is quite possible in the WPS. Look through some of these... http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome?topic=WpsGallery
Currently, only the next song info is made available. This could only be fixed with a patch, but considering the buffer holds about 6-8 songs when full (depending on filesize) it could be done.

what i thought of was the progress in the current song, just in the current playlist view, so i can just use the "current playlist view" as a kind of replacement for the wps so i see my playlist all the time as i add songs to it and also see, if i have to hurry up to add a new song or whatever...
and i don't think of viewing the buffered songs, just the ones in the playlist, as i'd like to have an overview
but thanks for your reply

That would rock. Like a splitscreen, with a bare-minimum WPS at the top and a half-sized playlist at the bottom, or side-side, with a way to swap control between the two.
I'd hate to have to code it :D

Ideally the viewports idea would allow for this sort of thing in the future (for example, leaving the top half of the WPS visible, and popping up a viewport with your playlist in the bottom half of the screen)
