Title: Dingoo a320
Post by: etrnldrk on June 25, 2010, 05:59:54 AM
This little gem is already running a Linux port and is very good for emulation of various old school game consoles. There are a few things lacking though. The elephant in the room for me is the lack of support for Ogg files. My iPod bit the dust a week ago and I picked up one of these babies to replace it, but I need my rockbox fix on this little beast. I simply don't have the time to work on a port at the moment, but contains an Ingenic JZ4732 chipset (the same cheap ChinaChip setup in most Chinese media players on the market). Coming up on a 3 day weekend, so I'll start digging around for info on this chipset and how easy it would be to port to, and then when I get my vacation, bust my ass on getting something to work.. Wish me luck.

PS - I found mine at thinkgeek.

There is already a working port for Jz4732 devices (see OndaVX747 (http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/OndaVX747)) so porting to the Dingoo shouldn't be that hard.
