Title: Gigabeat Layout
Post by: copskid44 on April 28, 2007, 11:19:03 AM
well when i updated my gigabeat last night, i found out that they had changes the button layout, and im not impressed. They switched how the A and the power button work during usage.

Is there anyway I can change this, or fix it back?

I'm sorry to hear you don't like it, we should have done the change much earlier because now everyone was used to this. We did it to prevent accidental shutdown while holding POWER (for page up/down for example). Another option would have been to just use A for shutdown, would that have been better?

To change it back you need to edit apps/keymaps/keymap-gigabeat.c and switch BUTTON_A and BUTTON_POWER everywhere and then compile rockbox:
